Maps

At the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), we are committed to making our maps as accessible as possible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Levels AA, which are the standards for ensuring that web content is accessible to everyone.

Although current legislation provides exemptions for maps, SEPA values the provision of accessible digital services. We are therefore making concerted efforts to adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA standards across our mapping services wherever practicable.

We acknowledge that there may be areas within our maps where full accessibility has not yet been achieved. In these instances, we are committed to providing alternative means of access to the same information and offering direct assistance through phone or email for those who may face challenges in accessing our services.
